Coalition Urges Congress to Reuthorize Small Business Research Programs

The Coalition for Pediatric Medical Research is urging Congress to act promptly to reauthorize the Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer (SBTT) programs, which enable federal departments and agencies, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to help small businesses advance research breakthroughs. The longstanding programs lapsed when their most recent authorization expired at the end of September. SBIR and SBTT awards can be particularly helpful to transition research breakthroughs from the lab into more advanced stages of development.
