Who We Are

The Coalition for Pediatric Medical Research consists of more than 20 of the most research-intensive children’s hospitals in the United States. In addition to caring for children, particularly those with complex diseases and conditions, our members are deeply committed to and engaged in scientific medical research to unlock the causes of diseases and disorders of childhood and improve the health and well-being of children and adults.

Coalition members actively support laws and policies to strengthen the nation’s investment in child health research. It is this focus on pediatric research policy that binds our members and drives the Coalition and its work.

Many scientific breakthroughs and advancements in pediatric healthcare have come about through the work of scientists working at member institutions, and our members collectively fund more than $1 billion of pediatric research activity each year.
