Coalition Applauds Enactment of NIH Funding Bill Into Law

The Coalition for Pediatric Medical Research applauds today’s signing into law of legislation to fund the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) research and public health functions for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2026.

“The Coalition celebrates today’s bill signing and House vote and last week’s Senate action approving legislation to fund the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other government agencies for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2026.

“We thank Congress for continuing the longstanding bipartisan tradition of prioritizing funding for medical research, including research focused on children, and for including important research policy provisions within the bill.

“We look forward to continuing to work with Congress and the Administration to advance shared priorities to improve the health and well-being of our children, a promise that necessitates an appropriate focus on child health and lifespan research.”
