Coalition Applauds National Academies for Moving Forward with NIH Assessment

The Coalition for Pediatric Medical Research applauds the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine for constituting a study committee to assess how the National Institutes of Health (NIH) can strengthen its support for pediatric medical research.

The Coalition advocated for inclusion of the assessment as part of the final Fiscal Year 2024 spending package that was enacted into law earlier this year. The Coalition commends the Academies for constituting a well-qualified and diverse study committee and looks forward to being part of the process as it moves forward, including as part of the initial committee meeting in early December.
